Alphonso Davies caught drinking while behind the wheel at 2:15 in the morning
The Canadian left-back was intercepted at 2:15 this morning while driving drunk ahead of Bayern’s Der Klassiker clash with Borussia Dortmund.
Alphonso Davies, a 24-year-old defender who has been rumoured all season to be in line for a move to the left side of Real Madrid’s defence next season, has landed himself in serious trouble in Munich. He was stopped by local police after being caught gesticulating strangely while driving a Lamborghini Urus worth more than 200,000 euros.
According to Bild, the media outlet that revealed the information, the officers ordered the Canadian footballer to stop because of the possibility that he had been drinking and could be a danger to other drivers. Once they approached him, they detected that he smelled of alcohol and proceeded to carry out a breathalyser test in which he tested positive with no less than 0.6 grams of alcohol per litre of exhaled air.
